The National Weather Service released a winter storm warning at 12:31 p.m. on Monday valid from Tuesday 7 a.m. until Wednesday 1 a.m. for Northern Saratoga, Western Schenectady, Eastern Schenectady, Southern Saratoga, Western Albany, Eastern Albany, Western Rensselaer, Eastern Rensselaer, Western Greene, Eastern Greene, Western Ulster, Southeast Warren and Southern Washington.
"Total snow accumulations between 7 and 11 inches," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "Moderate to heavy snow will impact the evening commute Tuesday. Snowfall rates of 0.5' to 1' are expected within the warned areas. Caution is advised for all motorists."
