LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Louisville Metro Police Department was back on the Ohio River on Monday, attempting to pull a vehicle from the water and locate a possible victim.
Police responded to the Great Lawn around 7:30 p.m. Saturday about a water rescue.
Dispatchers told officers that a tugboat operator said they saw a vehicle drive into the river near Joe's Crab Shack.
LMPD officers searched the ground in that area while Louisville Fire Department launched its boat to help with the water search. River traffic was paused so crews could search.
A vehicle was found around 9 p.m., but police said there was no victim with it. Search operations were paused until Sunday due to dangerous currents.
