BURLINGTON, N.C. — Two men are facing multiple felony charges after Alamance County deputies say a Sunday night traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs, an open container of alcohol and drug paraphernalia.
According to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, deputies pulled over a vehicle around 10 p.m. on Nov. 30 on Lower Hopedale Road north of Burlington for failure to maintain lane control. When officers approached the vehicle, they reported smelling what they believed to be marijuana.
Deputies instructed both the driver, 43-year-old Alexander Norman Poole of McLeansville, and the passenger, 63-year-old William Evins Galloway Jr. of Eden, to get out of the vehicle.
Deputies said a probable-cause search of the men and the car turned up suspected cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia
