NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) is investigating an incident involving an officer’s patrol vehicle being rammed by a truck driven by a suspect at the center of a welfare check on Tuesday.
Police confirmed to WSMV4 that an officer was conducting a welfare check on an individual in the Belle Forrest Condos on Old Hickory Boulevard.
The individual got in their truck and backed into the officer’s patrol car, MNPD said.
The officer is dealing with a lower-body injury due to the crash. The suspect wrecked his truck shortly after the crash.
No other details in this incident have been released at this time.
