A US adult film actress has been sentenced to jail after attempting to hire a hitman to kill the father of her child.

Katrina Lynn Danforth, who performed under the stage name Lynn Pleasant, admitted using phone calls and mail to solicit the murder.

Danforth, who appeared in eight adult films between 2005 and 2010, was caught after unwittingly giving her phone number to an undercover officer. In October, she met with the officer in Idaho and agreed to pay $5,000 (£3,800) for the hit, providing “specific requirements that the hitman was to accomplish,” according to US reports.
