KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A new episode of Dateline set to come out on Friday will follow the case of Brittany Eldridge, who died in Knox County while 8 1/2 months pregnant in 2011.

Eldridge was found dead in her Cross Creek apartment off Western Avenue, strangled and stabbed with scissors.

According to reporting in 2018, prosecutors decided to drop the case against Norman Clark in connection with Eldridge's death after he was arrested in 2014 and indicted for first-degree murder.

Two mistrials were declared for Clark. A jury in August 2015 said it was hopelessly deadlocked and could not come to a final decision.
