We've got a continued look at our winter pattern dominating the region. After a recent system has moved through, we're seeing high pressure settling in, bringing with it quite the chill.
For folks across southern Illinois and the surrounding Mid-Mississippi River Valley, we're tracking colder-than-normal temperatures that are expected to stick around for the entire week. This isn't your typical early December weather, as we're forecasting overnight lows to frequently dip into the teens and 20s.
In fact, we're particularly concerned about tonight, where temperatures will be very cold, and there's a definite potential for some areas of freezing to develop. Please be cautious if you're out and about later this evening or early tomorrow morning.
Looking ahead to the later part of the week,
