EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - In Evansville Tuesday afternoon, local septic waste and grease haulers shared frustrations at EWSU’s board meeting following a decision to shut down the receiving station the haulers frequently use.
The haulers’ job is to dispose of septic and grease waste from local homes, restaurants, businesses, and more
EWSU officials say the receiving station the haulers have been using is in great need of repair, and isn’t worth what would be an increased cost to ratepayers to fix.
But the haulers say, if they have to take the septic and grease waste to surrounding cities, for example, they will have to charge their customers potentially thousands of more dollars.
