American Red Cross in need of disaster relief volunteers

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The American Red Cross of Southwest Indiana is looking for disaster relief volunteers.

Officials say they are seeing a record number of significant weather disasters in the community.

They say they have had a few volunteers that have needed to drop out and are in need of people to step up.

One of those volunteers describes why it’s important to volunteer.

“It just gives back to themselves, what they give to others they get back 3, 4, 5 times fold,” they say.
