COLLINS, Miss. (WDAM) - A local law enforcement agency is conducting its annual toy and clothing drive to help children in need this holiday season.
The “Pack a Patrol Car” toy drive at the Covington County Sheriff’s Department has been going on for several weeks.
CCSD is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys, along with new clothing, shoes or monetary donations through Monday, Dec. 8.
The gifts will be distributed to students selected from all four of the county’s elementary schools the week of Dec. 15.
“We get with the schools, get with the counselors at the schools, determine which children are in need and I think this year, we have approximately 32 kids that we’re going to try to supply Christmas for,” said Ricky Lott, CCSD chief deputy.
