WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. —

A 63-year-old man from East Huntingdon could spend up to 44 years in state prison for shooting at two Pennsylvania state troopers and firing multiple rounds into a neighbor's home last year.

According to the Westmoreland County DA's Office, James Miller, 63, was sentenced to serve 22 to 44 years after officials were called to the area of Cedar Drive in January 2024 following reports of a bullet being shot into the attic of a neighboring home.

While investigating, troopers were in front of Miller's home on Porter Avenue when Miller opened the door with a rifle. He was ordered to drop the firearm multiple times and fired two rounds roughly 15 yards from troopers. Officials sai
