HOLLYWOOD, CA — Universal Studios has scored a major coup, announcing today that they have closed a deal for Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks to play the role of Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks in a biographical film about the life of Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks.

"This is a role he was born to play," said the film's director, Steven Spielberg. "I've worked with Tom many times over the years, and he's never been as in tune with a character as he is in this picture.
