EAST MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - Hundreds of Quad Cities Area families received free hams this holiday season.

Hams for the Holidays is a collaboration between Hy-Vee and Hormel Foods to deliver a total of 5,000 hams at 20 different locations across Hy-Vee’s nine-state region this holiday season.

This is the eighth year the collaboration has been going on, a spokesperson said. Hy-Vee employees and local first responders were on hand to distribute the 300 hams at the Rock Island County Fairgrounds.
