GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Bradford County firefighters say their burn ban remains in effect because of dry conditions in the area, despite receiving some rain today.

Gilchrist County’s ban is no longer active.

Alachua County extended its ban yesterday, and it is now active until Tuesday, December 9th.

Baker, Citrus, Lafayette, and Union counties also have burn bans in place.
