DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) - When you think of Packers’ linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, horses probably don’t come to mind.
Several Green Bay Packers on Tuesday, headed out to De Pere to work with kids, teens and adults who receive equine therapy through the non-profit Exceptional Equestrians.
Cooper was joined by the likes of Nazir Stackhouse, Anthony Belton and others.
The program helps participants strengthen all kinds of skills, pairing riders with horses, licensed clinicians, and certified instructors that best meet their needs.
“To be able to come out with these kids. Spend time with these horses and build a connection. There’s just no better feeling than that,” Edgerrin Cooper said.
Nearly 500 individuals are currently enrolled in the program in northeast Wisconsin alone.
