ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A 7-year-old Newton County boy who left his home Tuesday without shoes or a jacket has been found safe, deputies said.
The boy left his home on Freeman Way in Oak Hill around 1 p.m., according to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.
He reportedly went missing without shoes or a jacket on a night when temperatures were expected to reach freezing.
His guardian, who works from home, called the sheriff’s office Tuesday evening after she discovered he was missing.
