Holly Willoughby has been fined more than £1,600 after pleading guilty to careless driving.

Back in August, the former This Morning host was driving her Mini Cooper near her home in Richmond when she made a right turn without indicating.

As a result she knocked over a scooter rider who had been trying to overtake her from his vehicle, with The Times and The Standard reporting that the incident left him with a broken neck and toe.

She was subsequently charged with driving without due care and attention last month.

During a hearing at Lavender Hill magistrates’ court on Tuesday, Holly was sentenced to a fine of £1,653, which must be paid within two weeks, as well as six points on her driving licence.
