LEXINGTON, Ky. — Recent numbers from the Kentucky Realtors show a decrease in total sales volume of homes.
The latest numbers show just over $922 million in real estate sold during October in Kentucky, down over 31% from September.
Josh Summers, CEO of Kentucky Realtors, said the fall is often a slower time for home sales.
“It’s cyclical here, and that’s pretty normal for us," Summers said. "If you look at Kentucky as a whole, we have about 3.6 months of housing supply."
Summers said the median sales price in Kentucky was $270,000 for the month of October. While sales volume is down, this number is up from the same time last year.
“We’re starting to see that kind of level off a bit; while you do have some cooler markets, we’re going to see that Kentucky is holding its own," Summers
