Martin O’Neill has expressed confidence that Kieran Tierney can put his injury and fitness problems behind him in 2026 and help new Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy to make a major impact at Parkhead.

Tierney has struggled to perform at a high level on a consistent basis since returning to the Scottish champions from Arsenal on a free transfer during the summer due to a series of knocks.

However, O’Neill is certain the Scotland left-back, who scored in the national team’s World Cup qualifying win over Denmark at Hampden earlier this month, will be able to overcome his health issues in the second half of the season.
