Parts of the UK are preparing for heavy snowfall over the next few days. Wintry weather is forecast for parts of England, Scotland and Wales.
Heavy snowfall is predicted overnight heading into Saturday, according to forecaster WXCharts.
Central and northern Scotland is set to be worst hit, north of Glasgow and west of Dundee.
This is where snow is most likely to settle on the ground and could be deep, reports Birmingham Live . Central and southern Wales is also due to see some snow on Thursday night, including Swansea.
Some parts of northern England could also see some of the white stuff on Friday evening, around Northumberland west of Newcastle.
The snowfall is likely to be localised and conditions are not expected to be widespread across the UK. Other parts will see rain, while
