Police have reported a rise in demand for personal attack alarms in part of Nuneaton . Officers say they have seen a spike in the number of locals ask for the crime-fighting kit.

There have been several high-profile incidents across the town in recent months, with a reported sexual attack on a woman in St Nicolas Park Drive and the on-going hunt for two serial attackers, who struck twice in the Arley area.

Investigations into the incidents are ongoing with no arrests made yet. Due to the increase in the number of people asking for personal attack alarms, members of the Nuneaton Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) are hosting a drop-in event at Horeston Grange Church in Camborne Drive on Friday, December 12.
