NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Homicide detectives are looking for suspects after a man was fatally shot in South Nashville early Wednesday morning.

Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department were called to Woodbine Street near Nolensville Pike around 1:40 a.m. and found a man in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The man was transported to the hospital, where he died, officers reported.

Detectives are working to piece together the circumstances leading up to the shooting and develop possible suspects.
