TAMPA, FLA — The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) has declared a Phase I Water Shortage as the region faces a significant 13-inch rainfall deficit, with continued dry conditions expected in the coming months.
The restrictions will remain in place through July 1 of next year.
The Phase I designation does not change the watering schedules currently in effect across the Tampa Bay area.
