A Huntsville Police officer is on administrative duty after jail records show he was arrested for drunk driving back in May.

Officer Jacob Hughes was arrested on May 19th in Panama City Beach, Florida, and charged with driving under the influence.

The Huntsville Police Department says Hughes will remain on administrative duty until the criminal proceedings and internal investigation are complete.

Hughes is one of seven Huntsville Police Officers facing criminal charges. George Wheeler III and Scott Hartman are also facing charges for driving under the influence.

Four other officers are facing several charges, including abuse, kidnapping, criminal use of defense spray, and misusing a public office for personal gain.
