TAMPA, Fla. — The University of South Florida is hiring Brian Hartline as its new head coach, according to multiple reports.
Hartline, 39, is the Ohio State offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.
According to a Sports Illustrated report, it will be a six-year deal for Hartline, who is expected to remain with the Buckeyes through the school’s playoff run.
Hartline will replace Alex Golesh, who accepted the head coaching job at Auburn on Sunday. Golesh, who took over USF’s program in 2023, went 23-15 in three seasons, leading the Bulls to a bowl game each season and to a listing in the College Football Playoff bracket during the 2025 season.
