A number of children have been injured after the roof of their school bus was ripped on in a crash.
The double-decker bus collided with a low bridge this afternoon (December 3) shortly after 12.30pm. Police, paramedics and firefighters rushed to the scene of the incident on Spendmore Road in Coppull near Chorley in Lancashire.
Officers said 'a number of children suffered injuries' in the collision which are 'thankfully thought to be relatively minor at this time'. They are currently being assessed by paramedics, reports LancsLive .
Photos and videos from the scene show the extensive damage to the vehicle with the entire roof taken off and left lying on the road. One person posted on social media saying: "A double decker bus has drove under the bridge and the full roof has been ripped
