Officials from PhilaPort announced a cruise ship terminal will be built in Tinicum Township.
The new terminal is the result of a partnership between PhilaPort, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings and Energy Transfer Marketing and Terminals to be located at the site formerly known as the Hog Island Dock Terminal Facility.
The location is just east of the Philadelphia International Airport off Hog Island Road.
Under a berthing agreement from 2026 through 2033, Norwegian will operate as Philadelphia’s exclusive homeport with an initial commitment of 41 sailings per year, resulting in up to $300 million in annual economic output.
