Chicopee Ski Hill is gearing up to open the slopes just in time for the holidays.

The region’s only ski hill, located at 396 Morrison Rd. in Kitchener, plans to open for its 91st season by Dec. 20.

Sections of the park are currently closed while construction is underway to make improvements for guests.

“We are still under construction … and like all good construction projects, things change daily,” reads a posting on Chicopee’s Facebook page.

“We are so sorry, but the improvements will be worth it.”

Access to the park to pick up season passes, lesson tags and to lease equipment will be heavily restricted until Dec. 5.

Sharpening and wax services are available ahead of the Dec. 20 opening date.

The Chicopee Tube Park typically opens in early January, depending on the weather.
