YORK TWP., MI — A real estate brokerage is eyeing more than 400 acres in a rural community south of Ann Arbor to potentially develop a “hyperscale” data center to power artificial intelligence and other computing technologies.

Toyota has put about 412 acres up for sale across from its Toyota Motor North American R&D Headquarters at 8777 S. Platt Road in York Township, east of Saline and north of Milan.

St. Louis-based real estate firm Sansone Group is considering purchasing the land for a potential data center project. While the firm has not submitted any official proposal to York Township, they have discussed a possible project with township officials and planners, according to township meeting minutes.
