CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - More than 425 people have been arrested in “ Operation Charlotte’s Web ” as of Wednesday, according to a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security.
The operation, which began on Saturday, Nov. 15, deployed Border Patrol agents to the Queen City to target undocumented immigrants in the city.
“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and federal agencies continue to target some of the most dangerous criminal illegal aliens as Operation Charlotte’s Web progresses,“ the DHS spokesperson said Wednesday, Dec. 3. ”This immigration enforcement surge in the Charlotte area has resulted in the arrest of more than 425 illegal aliens since operations began.”
