A Chinese restaurant in Brooklyn Park that's known for its dim sum is closing at the start of 2026.

House of Kirin announced this week that Jan. 1 will be its final day of service at 8600 Edinburgh Centre Drive. It will be open and serving dim sum on Christmas and New Years Day.

Some staff members, including the chef, plan to move over to sister restaurant Red Ginger in Shoreview.

House of Kirin replaced Lemon Grass, chef Ann Ahmed's first restaurant that closed in 2023 after 18 years, in the space adjacent to Golden Lion Supermarket.
