HOUSTON — Caught on camera -- a man was attacked and sprayed in the face with bear spray. Then, after stumbling into the street, he became a victim of a hit and run.

Marc Michel's life completely changed back on June 18. He went out for a night of drinking and karaoke with a girlfriend in the Montrose area. Now he is paralyzed from the waist down.

Here's what happened -- shortly after walking out of a bar on Crocker Street, a dark-colored Kia Soul pulled up. The driver bear-sprayed him in the eyes.

In video released by police on Wednesday, you can see how he reacted, stumbling away across the street and grabbing his face. He ended up falling to his knees in the middle of the street.

Marc ended up flying at least 25 yards and somehow survived. The driver sped off.
