Ephrata picked up steam in the second half and dispatched Mechanicsburg 42-31 in non-league girls’ basketball action Wednesday night.
Alyssa Caldwell had just two field goals but was strong from the free-throw line in the second half (7-for-8) for a team-high 11 points.
Marie McCracken and Leah Caldwell scored nine apiece for the Mountaineers (2-0).
Lauren Lebo topped the Wildcats (0-2) with 10 points. Maycee Yanoski and Alaina Sweet each scored 7 points.
