There are several cancellations on one line of the Merseyrail network this morning. Services on the Headbolt Lane line have been affected. Trains going to and from Liverpool Central have been cancelled.

Merseyrail initially said on X at 6.32am: "Due to shortage of train crew, services on the Headbolt Lane line face cancellations or alterations." However, just after 8am, the rail operator said the line faced cancellations "due to a train fault".

Nine services have been cancelled so far.
