Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office investigators have arrested a suspect accused of taking a wedding gown and other property that belonged to a U.S. Army officer shortly after she landed at the New Orleans airport on holiday leave.
Unfortunately, authorities weren't able to recover the custom gown that 1st Lt. Amber Oglesby had made for her while she was deployed overseas in Kosovo.
"I was so disappointed, so disappointed," Oglesby said Wednesday. "I was kind of holding out hope."
But Town and Country Bridal , a popular New Orleans boutique, reached out to Oglesby and offered to help her replace her wedding dress.
"I wanted her to have that magical moment restored, especially for someone who gives to much of themselves in the service of our country," said boutique owner Mandy Wienhu
