Manchester Piccadilly was today named as the second busiest railway station outside of London - for the second year in a row.
And lastest official figures show the number of passengers flowing through Piccadilly is increasing.
Central Manchester's largest railway station clocked a staggering 27.4 million entries and exits in 2024/25, just pipping Leeds railway station to second place.
Figures revealed this time last year by regulator the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) revealed 25.8m passengers passed through Piccadilly - equating to an increase of more than 1.5m.
Birmingham New Street was the most used station outside of London, with 36.6m entries and exits over the latest year.
Manchester Victoria recorded 8.4m entries and exits - also a large increase. View 3 Images
