The Department for Work and Pensions is bringing in a rule change for SEVEN benefits as it continues its welfare reform. The DWP is scrapping the two-child benefit limit, as announced by Labour Party Chancellor Rachel Reeves in her Autumn Budget.
One in five households claiming benefits currently affected by the two-child limit will still be ineligible for the full allowance once it is removed.
The benefits affected include Universal Credit (UC), including its housing element, Jobseeker’s allowance (JSA), Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Income support, Child benefit (if combined with other benefits in the household), Child tax credit (if applicable) and Housing benefit (for those not on UC).
