The U.S. Department of Homeland Security officially launched its anticipated sweeping enforcement operation in New Orleans, christened “Catahoula Crunch.”

Several hundred Customs and Border Patrol agents spread across the New Orleans metro Wednesday as part of President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

After a splashy beginning where agents were spotted making arrests throughout the region and Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino took prominent walks around busy portions of the city, the operation entered its second day Thursday.
