Five men have been jailed for a total of 25 years after a car was reversed into John Henry Sayers' property and set on fire. The arsonists had already torched a car belonging to Sayers two days earlier when they went back to "finish the job".

Dramatic CCTV footage captures the moment a Range Rover was reversed into the former Lou's Diner, underneath Sayers' home on Fossway, Byker. After it was crashed into the doors of the cafe, it was torched.
