A dramatic video has emerged showing a handcuffed suspect making an escape from police custody by jumping onto a police van and scaling a wall, while shouting "I'm not going back to jail". The man in question, 33-year-old Dylan Harrison, originally from Liverpool, is seen initially stepping out of a police vehicle at Ystrad Mynach police station in Wales.
He had been taken into custody on allegations of domestic violence offences against a woman in Newport. The footage, captured on a body camera worn by one of the female officers, reveals the police officers conversing and noting the time, with one stating: "So Dylan, the time is 8.10".
Before she can complete her sentence, Harrison makes a break for it. Officers are heard yelling: "Get back here now!" as they give chase.
