A 27-year-old registered sex offender was sentenced to 15 years in prison for hitting his ex-girlfriend with a car last year at a Lubbock apartment.

The sentence on Wednesday came two days after Dylan Rodriquez appeared in the 140th District Court for a jury trial and pleaded guilty to a count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
