KNOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - One man was involved in a crash in Knott County on Thursday.

According to Kentucky State Police, the single-vehicle crash happened just before 3 a.m. on Highway 80 in the Bearville area.

According to troopers, officials with the Knott Co. Highway Dept. received a call regarding a rockslide in the area.

We are told one side of the road had been blocked.

When members with the highway department arrived, troopers told WYMT that highway department officials tried to get the man’s attention but were unable to do so.

We are told that one of the officials with the highway department was in a private-owned vehicle, trying to assess the situation before getting into the process of shutting down the roadway in that area.
