Two women are injured and in hospital after a dispute and stabbing inside a North York apartment building Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to reports of a person with a knife inside a building in the area of Finch Avenue West and Keele Street around 1:30 p.m., Toronto police told the Star.

Inside, they found two women who appeared to have had an argument, police said. Both women were suffering from serious injuries, although the nature or cause of their injuries could not be confirmed, police said.

Both women were taken to hospital and their injuries were not life-threatening, paramedics said.

The two women were known to each other, officers said.

Police arrested one of the women. It is unclear what charges she may be facing.
