BROCKTON, Mass. —
A Brockton man was arrested Thursday for allegedly trafficking hundreds of grams of fentanyl and trying to get rid of the evidence using a toilet.
Edmund Kelsey, 26, was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl.
On Oct. 30, during a search of Kelsey's Brockton home, he ran from officers down into a basement where he allegedly tried flushing hundreds of grams of pills and other materials down the toilet, according to the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts.
A sample of the pills tested positive for a fentanyl/methamphetamine compound.
At the time of the search, Kelsey was on home confinement with GPS monitoring as a condition of two drug trafficking cases, according to court documents.
