FRAMINGHAM, Mass. —

Crews are working to clear debris after a tree fell on top of a car in Framingham, Massachusetts, on Thursday night.

The tree fell in the area of 239 Elm St. around 7:15 p.m., crushing a car as it was driving by, according to Framingham police.

The force of the crash rolled the car into a nearby ambulance.

The driver of the car was transported to a Boston-area hospital as a precaution, according to officials.

Pictures provided by the Framingham Firefighters IAFF Local 1652 show the large tree lying across the entire roadway.

Officials say motorists should expect lengthy traffic delays.
