Dangerous cold is taking hold across New England on Friday, with freezing temperatures and subzero wind chills in some areas.

Feels-like temperatures started the day below zero in many neighborhoods. By afternoon, feels-like temps will only climb into the teens and low 20s. Tonight, low temperatures will drop into the lower 20s under mostly cloudy skies.

Our weather team has issued a First Alert due to the extreme cold, but that isn't stopping Bostonians from stepping outside. NBC10 Boston photographer Mark Garfinkel gathered 10 images of locals braving the cold, and as you'd expect, one of them had a Dunkin' cup in hand.
