LENOX, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Firefighters were out on the scene early Friday morning in Berkshire County to put out a quickly spreading hotel fire in Lenox. It was after 6 a.m. when fire crews arrived on the scene.
All 13 guests who were staying at the Wagon Wheel Inn on Route 20 were able to get out safely and uninjured. The fire was put out before it spread to nearby buildings, but two businesses did report damage.
While the cause remains under investigation, crews did say that ice build-up from freezing temperatures was their biggest challenge.
