PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. – Video footage shared by the Washington State Patrol captured a truck speeding and smashing through guardrails on Interstate 5 earlier this week.

The incident occurred as the driver headed south on I-5 in Pierce County.

After the truck eventually pulled over, the suspect was arrested and booked into the Pierce County Jail.

Charges were filed against them, including DUI, hit and run and felony eluding.

Authorities revealed that the suspect also had an active Department of Corrections warrant at the time of arrest.
