Spanish police are probing the death of a young Liverpool fan killed in a “deliberate” hit-and-run while cycling in Tenerife. The victim, a British youngster identified so far only by his first name Harry, was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident on Monday evening.

The alarm was raised at around 8pm in the municipality of Arona in the south of the holiday island . The victim was cycling on the TF-652 road between Las Chafiras and the fishing village of Las Galletas.

Local reports today described it as a “ hit-and-run ” and island newspaper El Dia said the Civil Guard was investigating whether the 'British' man had been “ murdered ”.
