Indiana beat Ohio State 13-10 on Saturday night to win the Big Ten Championship Game at Lucas Oil Stadium. The No. 2 Hoosiers held off top-ranked Ohio State with a strong defensive showing. Indiana edged the Buckeyes in yards, 340-322, and won the ground game 118-58. Fernando Mendoza was named the Big Ten Championship Game MVP after Indiana’s victory over Ohio State, where he passed for 222 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The win gave the Hoosiers their first Big Ten Championship Game victory and first outright conference title since 1945. Indiana closed the season 13-0.
